In an age of rapid technological advancement and the widespread integration of Artificial Intelligence into all aspects of life, the need to develop the role of the mufti and to strengthen the Islamic legal framework in addressing contemporary challenges has become increasingly urgent. 

In response, the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide will convene its 10th international conference under the theme “The Making of the Competent Mufti in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” The conference will take place in Cairo from August 12–13, 2025, with broad international participation from leading muftis, scholars, and experts in both fatwa and technology.
