The 4th international conference on Fatwa Renewal held by Egypt's Dar al-Ifta through the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide over the past three days has come to a successful close on Thursday.

The Grand Mufti of Egypt, President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Shawki Allam, announced a list of crucial time-relevant recommendations in his closing statement. The recommendations, that Egypt's Dar al-Ifta will work immediately on implementing them, included issuing the first international Fatwa Charter that sets the ethics of Fatwa issuance profession, launching Global Fatwa Index that endorses a scholarly methodology for observing, analyzing, and evaluating fatwa discourses worldwide and developing a curriculum for students of fatwa around the world.
