At the conclusion of the Arab Media Summit held in Dubai, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders warmly received Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, accompanied by Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, and the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders.

The Grand Imam highlighted the deep historical ties between Al-Azhar and Lebanon, reaffirming Al-Azhar’s ongoing commitment to supporting Lebanon through imam training and scholarships. He also emphasized the crucial need for national unity and wise leadership to address the country’s challenges. In response, Prime Minister Salam praised Al-Azhar’s leading role in promoting tolerance, coexistence, and the values of human fraternity.
