Egypt’s Grand Mufti Heads to Bahrain to participate in the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference

His Eminence Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide headed to the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference, under the theme "One Nation, Shared Destiny", to be held from 19-20 February.
The conference is held under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and is jointly organized by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Bahrain, and the Muslim Council of Elders. It will bring together more than 400 scholars, religious leaders, intellectuals, and thinkers from around the world.
The event comes in response to a call made by His Eminence the Grand Imam of Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, during the Bahrain Dialogue Forum in November 2022, emphasizing the need to strengthen Islamic unity and solidarity.
Dr. Ayyad will present an active role in the conference, delivering an opening address and participating in high-level discussions aimed at fostering Islamic cooperation. He will also engage in a series of side meetings to promote practical steps toward unifying the Muslim Ummah and bridging divides among scholars and institutions from various Islamic traditions.
As part of his contributions, the Grand Mufti will deliver a keynote speech on Intra-Islamic dialogue, presenting key recommendations for rebuilding channels of communication and reinforcing the foundations of unity and fraternity within the Muslim world.
