Professor Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt, President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Indonesian Council of Ulama in Jakarta to discuss collaboration on training and qualifying muftis.

During the meeting, the Grand Mufti highlighted the role of  Egypt's Dar al-Ifta as a global hub of expertise, renowned for its balanced methodology and diverse training programs designed to meet the needs of various countries.

From their part, the Indonesian delegation expressed their deep appreciation for Dar al-Ifta’s efforts in issuing moderate fatwas and emphasized their eagerness to strengthen cooperation, particularly to benefit from its expertise in combating extremist ideologies and advancing the fatwa system
