Egypt’s Mufti Strengthens Global Religious Ties during Abu Dhabi Conference

On the sidelines of his participation in the "Citizenship, Identity, and Shared Values of Coexistence" conference held in Abu Dhabi, His Eminence Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, met with key religious figures to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation and institutional partnership.

During his meeting with H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the World Council of Muslim Communities, both sides discussed mechanisms for exchanging expertise and launching joint initiatives to promote citizenship, pluralism, and interfaith dialogue, while strengthening the role of religious institutions in countering hatred and extremism.

In a separate meeting with His Eminence Sheikh Mevlud Dudić, Grand Mufti of Serbia, the discussion focused on the situation of Muslims in Serbia and the wider Balkan region. The two parties agreed to support religious and educational institutions, implement training programs for imams and preachers, exchange scholarly expertise, and coordinate efforts to combat extremist ideologies and foster peaceful coexistence in European societies.
