From the heart of Egypt's 'Arish, Grand Mufti of Egypt: Gaza is a wound in the World’s conscience, and the sacrifices of its people are a mark of honor for the Nation

During his visit to Al-Arish General Hospital to check on Palestinians wounded in the ongoing Israeli aggression, His Eminence. Dr. Nazir Mohamed Ayad, Egypt’s Grand Mufti and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, affirmed that the tragedy unfolding in Gaza is not merely a humanitarian crisis, but a deep, open wound in the conscience of the world. He stressed that the sacrifices of the wounded and injured will forever remain a mark of honor in the history of the Arab and Islamic nation.
Dr. Ayad highlighted that Egypt’s Dar Al-Ifta has stood firmly with the Palestinian cause from the very beginning—issuing statements, speaking out against injustice, and rejecting all forms of aggression, forced displacement, and systematic starvation. He described silence in the face of these atrocities as a betrayal of human and religious values, and reaffirmed Dar Al-Ifta’s unwavering commitment to truth, justice, and the defense of human dignity.
He also praised Egypt’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, noting that Egypt, through its institutions, has become a bulwark against attempts to eliminate or displace the Palestinian population. The country continues to provide critical humanitarian, medical, and relief aid to Gaza.
At the conclusion of his visit, the Grand Mufti expressed deep appreciation for the efforts of the medical staff and administration at Al-Arish General Hospital, commending their professionalism, preparedness, and compassion in providing care to the wounded.
